To assist in launching Sydney singer-songwriter, Mindy Sotiri's new album 'divorce songs, ' Emma Tom, Blazey Best, Genevieve Maynard and a host of others will join Mindy to perform along the theme of true wife confessions in Newtown, at the Sandringham Hotel in Newtown on July 25.

Mindy's third album is an unflinchingly honest exploration of a relationship set up against the monumentally un-rock backdrop of little babies, sleep deprivation, sore boobs and toddler snot. Mindy has been interested...some might say obsessed...with how the major themes of grand romance (including the odd disturbing splashes of infidelity and ambivalence) fit alongside the domestic love catastrophe of raising children

Mindy has been writing songs since she was a teenager, has recorded two albums over the last six years (both distributed through MGM) and has over a decade's worth of live experience including many sell out gigs at luminous Sydney venues.

A smarty pants academic and researcher in the non-musical part of her life, Mindy spent many years pretending that writing music was less important to her than pondering the ins and outs of the NSW prison system. Five years ago, after the birth of her first son, it became clear that in the approximately 2.4 minutes each day she had to herself, writing tunes was the only thing she wanted to do.
